Report Short-Term Rental Activity 

​If you believe a property in East Haven may be operating as an unpermitted short-term rental, or if you experience issues with a permitted STR, you can submit observations using our mobile-friendly complaint form. The form contains all the data required by the Town's STR Complaint form, plus supplemental information related to typical STR activity.

This helps document activity and provides useful information to town officials. Form links on this site take you to a Google form.

How to Submit a Report
1. Find the property

You can locate the property in either of these ways:

• Map View – Click a marker on the map

• STR List – Browse or filter the list by street name

2. Open the reporting form

• Once you find the property:

• Click “Report Activity” The form will already include basic listing details

A form will open in a new tab.

3. Enter observations

Fill out the form with as much detail as you can:

• Your contact information

• Dates and times of activity

• Observations (check all that apply)

• Additional notes

• You do not need to fill in every field

4. Add optional evidence (if available)

You may include:

• Photos (no people required)

• Dates/times of observations

• Specific details (number of cars, frequency, etc.)
   

5. Submit the form

• Click Submit when finished.

• Your report will be recorded for review

Important Notes

• This form is for documenting observed activity only

• It does not determine violations

• Please provide factual observations, not assumptions

• Do not include personal or sensitive information about guests
